Anwen Movers — Moving Made Easy Platform

UAE moving company website with an instant estimate form in the hero, built for phone users comparing movers.

Overview

Anwen Movers is a UAE moving company, and its website centres on the idea that moving should be easy. We built it so that a visitor can begin an estimate on arrival, without hunting through menus, and so that the business looks experienced and credible from the first screen. The audience is households and businesses in the UAE who are about to relocate and are comparing several movers at once.

The Challenge

Most moving websites ask visitors to read first and act later. Someone comparing movers wants a rough figure quickly, to decide whether a company is worth a phone call. The company had to reassure strangers about its reliability, in a market with many competitors, on small screens where clutter is punished and thumbs are the main input device.

A Day in the Life of a Visitor and the Team

A typical visitor is a tenant who has just been told their lease is ending, searching from a phone during a break. They land on the page, see two fields for the move locations and one for the size of the move, and get a first indication without creating an account. If they like what they see, they leave contact details. On the business side, a coordinator opens the enquiry, checks the locations and weight the customer entered, and calls back with a proper quote after confirming access, floors and any special items. A site administrator edits credentials and estimate wording in WordPress.

Our Approach

We moved the estimate into the hero. By asking for only the locations and the weight of the move, the site gives visitors something useful in seconds, which invites deeper engagement. Evidence of experience and credentials was placed early on the page, before doubt sets in. To keep phones comfortable we chose a single-column layout with generous tap targets and short sections.

What We Built

The page opens with the estimate form embedded in the hero, followed by sections presenting the company's experience and credentials, its moving services and how a move proceeds from booking to delivery.

Architecture and Data

The estimate form is handled in two layers. JavaScript gives instant validation and feedback in the browser, so a visitor learns immediately if a field is missing. When the form is submitted, PHP on the server validates the same fields again, since browser checks can be bypassed, and then routes the request to the team. Content, services and credentials live in WordPress, separate from the template code, so text changes do not require a developer.

Security, Privacy and Quality

A moving enquiry contains names, phone numbers and home addresses, which are personal data, so the site collects only what the estimate needs. Server-side validation, output escaping and nonce checks protect the form against injection and forged submissions, and the site should be served over HTTPS. We tested the form with very long addresses and non-Latin characters, and checked layouts on small phones.

Technology

The stack is WordPress, custom PHP and JavaScript. A lean custom theme keeps pages quick on mobile connections, and the WordPress editor lets the company revise its credentials and content without touching code.

Outcome

Anwen Movers gets a website that starts a conversation immediately, shows its experience without delay and works comfortably on a phone. The team can adjust the estimate wording, content and services as the offering changes. We resisted adding extra widgets: a calculator, a slider and a chat window would each have competed with the form, so the hero holds a single interactive element and everything else supports it with quiet, readable content.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a moving company website cost to build?

The cost depends on the number of pages, whether the estimate tool is a simple form or a real calculator with pricing rules, how much bespoke design is involved, and whether you need integrations such as a CRM or WhatsApp. Content writing, photography and Arabic or multilingual support also change the scope. A short discovery conversation is the reliable way to get a fixed quote.

Should a moving website show an instant price estimate?

Visitors comparing movers usually want a ballpark figure before they commit to a call, so an estimate reduces early drop-off. Because real prices depend on access, floors and special items, it is best presented as an indication that the team confirms, not a binding quote.

Is WordPress a good choice for a moving company site?

For a brochure-style site with an enquiry form, yes. It lets non-technical staff edit services and credentials, has mature search-friendly structure, and is inexpensive to host and maintain. A custom theme keeps it fast, avoiding the weight of many purchased themes.
