Gembots — Automated Crypto Trading Platform

Overview

Gembots is a marketplace for automated cryptocurrency trading bots that we designed and built as a storefront product. It speaks to traders who want to evaluate automation by its numbers and who are sceptical of vague promises.

The Challenge

Selling trading software is a credibility problem. Buyers have seen inflated claims, so a page that simply asserts performance is ignored. Crypto markets are volatile, and past results never guarantee future ones, so the store has to be honest about what its figures represent. It had to let visitors test the value themselves, present each bot's statistics in a form that feels trustworthy, and look like a serious tool for people who spend their day reading charts.

Who Uses It and How

A prospective buyer, often an active trader, lands on the homepage and immediately tries the profit calculator with their own inputs. They then open bot pages, compare statistics side by side, and purchase one. Existing customers return to buy further bots or check information. The store team publishes new bots and updates statistics through structured fields in WordPress, without altering layouts, so every product page stays comparable.

Our Approach

We designed around evidence. Rather than hiding numbers deep in product pages, we put an interactive profit calculator on the homepage so a visitor can explore what a bot might do with their own inputs straight away. Each product then carries its own verified performance statistics in a consistent format, making bots easy to compare. Visually we chose a dark, data-forward interface familiar from trading terminals.

What We Built

The homepage leads with the live profit calculator and a clear route into the bot catalogue. Every bot has a product page with structured performance data, a description of how it operates and a clear purchase action. The dark theme uses high-contrast type and restrained accent colour so figures stay readable, and the layout holds together on phones where many traders check in.

Architecture and Data

Each bot is a record with fields for name, strategy description, price and a set of performance statistics, and one template renders them in the same order every time. The calculator is client-side JavaScript: the visitor enters values, and results update instantly without a server round trip, using the bot's published statistics as inputs. Being explicit about the formula used, and what it assumes, keeps it from implying certainty. Purchases run through the store's checkout and payment provider, and access to purchased products follows from the order record.

Security, Privacy and Quality

Selling to traders makes the store a target, so we kept plugin use minimal, served everything over HTTPS and left card handling to the payment provider. Regulatory treatment of crypto products and financial promotions varies by country, so we kept claims descriptive and recommended the client take advice on required risk disclosures for each market. The calculator is tested against hand-worked examples, including zero and extreme inputs, so it never shows nonsense. We also check that statistics displayed on product pages match the source figures the team supplies.

Technology

The build uses WordPress with custom PHP and JavaScript. JavaScript drives the calculator so results update instantly without page reloads, while PHP templates render product data consistently from structured fields. New bots and updated statistics can be published by the team without changing layout code.

Outcome

Gembots has a storefront that invites scrutiny instead of avoiding it: visitors can test the calculator, compare bots on like-for-like statistics and buy from a site that looks at home among trading tools. The catalogue can grow product by product using the same structure. Copy is factual and restrained, since a trading audience distrusts hype and rewards a storefront that lets the data speak plainly.
