OSM Group — Multi-Division Business Group Platform

Corporate website for Qatar-based OSM Group, unifying its technology, corporate trade and tourism divisions under one brand.

Overview

OSM Group is a Qatar-based business group with divisions in technology, corporate trade and tourism. We designed and built its corporate platform, a WordPress website that presents the group as one organisation while giving each division a clear place of its own.

The Challenge

Holding companies often struggle online. Each division has different customers, vocabulary and goals, and the group brand sits above all of them. A single generic page fails to serve any division well, while three disconnected sites weaken the group identity and split the effort of maintaining them. OSM also expected to grow, so the design could not assume that three divisions would remain the final number.

Who Visits and Who Maintains It

A prospective corporate client, a tourism customer and a technology buyer share almost nothing beyond the group name, so the front page has to route them quickly. Partners, suppliers and job seekers look for evidence that the group is substantial and stable. Internally, a group communications lead owns the homepage and shared pages, while each division's manager or delegate maintains content for their own section, so editing responsibilities need to be separable.

Our Approach

We chose a hub-and-division model. The group is the umbrella, and each division is a first-class section reachable from the same navigation, so the group brand sets the tone while every division speaks to its own audience. The second decision was to make expansion cheap: page templates, navigation and content blocks were planned so that adding a fourth division means creating a new section rather than reworking the site.

What We Built

The front of the site introduces the group and routes visitors to the division that matches their interest. Navigation is unified, so a visitor exploring technology can move to trade or tourism without leaving the brand experience or learning a new layout. Division-specific calls to action do the routing work: wording such as Explore Digital and Explore Business points each visitor to the right place instead of pushing everyone toward one generic contact button. Every division section carries its own supporting content, while the header, footer and visual identity keep the platform coherent.

Architecture and Data

The site is built from a small set of templates and reusable blocks: a group landing layout, a division landing layout, service or offering blocks, and shared elements such as contact details. Navigation is driven by WordPress menus rather than hard-coded links, so a new division appears in the menu and on the front page once its section exists. Page hierarchies keep each division's pages grouped under predictable URLs.

Security, Privacy and Quality

A corporate site is a trust signal, so it should be quick, secure and free of broken links. We recommend role-based access so a division editor can change only their own pages, strong administrator credentials, and prompt updates to WordPress core and plugins. Contact forms validate on the server and route enquiries to the appropriate division. We tested navigation paths from each division to the others and checked templates on phones and large screens.

Technology

We used WordPress with custom PHP theme development because a corporate group site needs dependable content management, familiar editing and long-term maintainability more than it needs a custom application. Custom templates gave us control over how divisions are organised, and JavaScript handles navigation behaviour and interface details. The choice also keeps hosting and support simple.

Outcome

OSM Group has a single platform that carries the group identity and gives each division its own voice. Visitors can identify the right division quickly, and the group can publish and update content without depending on developers. Because the architecture anticipates future divisions, the site can grow with the business instead of needing a rebuild when the group enters a new sector.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a corporate group website cost?

Cost depends on the number of divisions and pages, how distinct each division's design must be, copywriting, languages such as Arabic and English, and the editing permissions you need. A well-planned template system lowers the cost of later additions. We scope it after mapping your divisions and audiences.

Should each division of a business group have a separate website?

Separate sites suit divisions with entirely different audiences and brands, but they multiply maintenance and dilute the group identity. A single site with dedicated division sections keeps one brand and one codebase while still speaking to each audience.

Can WordPress handle a multi-division corporate site?

Yes. With custom templates, menus and role-based editing, it can organise several divisions clearly and lets different teams maintain their own content, provided the structure is planned at the start.
