Sri Lanka Bicycle Holidays

WordPress tour-operator website for Sri Lanka Bicycle Holidays, showcasing biking, hiking and multi-adventure packages with clear price cards.

Overview

Sri Lanka Bicycle Holidays organizes cycling and active holidays across Sri Lanka for international travelers, including couples, friends, families and solo riders. We built its website on WordPress to present the range of tours in an adventurous, distinctive visual style and to help visitors move from browsing to enquiring.

The Challenge

Adventure travel buyers ask practical questions before they think about booking: how hard is it, how long is it, what does it cost, and will there be support if I get tired? The operator offers biking tours, hiking holidays, multi-adventure trips that combine cycling, hiking and kayaking, and family options, each with different durations and levels. On many tour sites that variety turns into an undifferentiated list. The site also needed an identity that felt like an active holiday, not a generic travel template.

What We Built

Package cards are the backbone of the site: each shows the tour name, price and duration at a glance so visitors can compare quickly. Main sections cover tours, activities with subcategories, destinations, an About page, a contact page, a blog and terms and conditions. Tours cover biking, hiking, multi-adventure and family active trips, with difficulty from beginner to advanced. The pages explain the support vehicle that accompanies riders, the hotel choices, the flexibility of dates and the option of small-group or private travel, which reassures less experienced cyclists and older travelers.

Our Approach

We designed around comparison and reassurance. Cards give the essentials, and detailed tour pages then supply itineraries and practical notes. Visual identity was a deliberate decision: earthy, energetic colors and action photography set the tone, and the layout departs from the standard tour templates most competitors use. Content is grouped by activity type and by destination so that a visitor can approach the range from whichever direction suits them. WordPress allows the operator to add new tours, publish blog posts and adjust details on their own.

Technology

WordPress and PHP form the base, with custom post types for tours and destinations so that every listing has the same structure of price, duration, difficulty and inclusions. This keeps cards consistent and makes filtering possible. Images are compressed and served responsively, as travel sites depend heavily on photography, and forms route enquiries from international visitors directly to the operator's inbox.

Outcome

The operator now has a distinctive adventure-travel website in which each tour is easy to compare, the support and flexibility of the trips are explained, and enquiries from visitors around the world reach the team. New tours and stories can be added by the operator as the season and offerings change, keeping the site current without technical help.
