Susie Ashfield — Coaching Website

WordPress personal-brand and booking website for public speaking coach Susie Ashfield, covering coaching, workshops and keynotes.

Overview

Susie Ashfield is a public speaking and communication coach who works with professionals, leaders and corporate teams. Her website has to do the work of a first meeting: show what she offers, prove that people trust her, and make it simple to get in touch. We designed and built the site on WordPress, giving her a personal-brand home that she can keep updating herself.

What We Built

The home page opens with a bold hero section built around an embedded promo video, so visitors hear and see the coach before reading a word. Beneath it, services are organized into distinct tracks: one-to-one speech coaching, group workshops for teams, and keynote presentations for corporate events, plus a pricing page. The site also includes About and Team pages, a blog, an upcoming events page and a contact page. A free downloadable guide for presenters acts as a lead magnet, the coach's published book is promoted, a community membership program is presented, and testimonials and media mentions support the credibility of the offer.

The Challenge

Coaches sell trust, and trust is difficult to communicate with text alone. A visitor deciding between one-to-one coaching, a team workshop or a keynote needs to understand quickly which service fits, without wading through a long page that mixes all three. The site also had to carry a distinctive, confident personality that matches the coach's direct style, rather than look like a generic consultancy template. Finally, the owner needed to publish events and articles regularly without depending on a developer.

Our Approach

We began with the audience journeys. An HR manager looking for a workshop, an executive wanting private coaching and an events organizer hunting for a speaker all arrive with different questions. Separate service tracks let each of them reach a relevant page in one click. We built the design around the video hero because motion communicates presence better than a headline, then layered proof, meaning testimonials and press mentions, close to each call to action. WordPress was chosen because the client can manage the blog, events and page copy herself, and because it has mature tooling for forms, video and search visibility.

Technology

WordPress with custom theme work supplies the content management, while JavaScript powers the video embed, navigation behavior and smaller interface details. We kept plugins to a minimum to protect performance and security, and structured page templates so that new events and posts follow the same layout automatically.

Outcome

The coach now has a professional home for her brand in which each audience finds its service quickly, the video hero introduces her style at once, and calls to enquire or download the free guide appear at natural decision points. She can publish events, articles and updates herself, keeping the site current with her work as a speaker and author. The result is a site that supports bookings and enquiries and reflects the confident voice of the person behind it.
